In today’s world, students must prepare themselves for a wide range of college and work opportunities. All students want to lead a happy life and enjoy the good things the world has to offer. Our students will certainly be provided a quality education. This year I am working with our junior high students as they learn and master a wide range of 21st Century Skills.

In this year’s “Technology Applications” class, students will learn and master various topics associated with computers and technology.

Week 22

Students began work on their Tri-Fold brochure using their Desktop Publishing skills.  The topic revolves around the field of robotics.  The cover panels are off to a great start as seen in these samples.  Stay tuned for updates as the project progresses.

Over the next few weeks, students will be creating other brochure panels that define what a robot is, describe educational and career opportunities, share historical facts and other topics.

On Thursday, our 6th grade students had an opportunity to visit the Holocaust Memorial Museum in San Antonio.  Students had an opportunity to listen to the horrors first hand by a survivor of the Holocaust; Anna Weisz Rado.
