In today’s world, students must prepare themselves for a wide range of college and work opportunities. All students want to lead a happy life and enjoy the good things the world has to offer. Our students will certainly be provided a quality education. This year I am working with our junior high students as they learn and master a wide range of 21st Century Skills.

In this year’s “Technology Applications” class, students will learn and master various topics associated with computers and technology.

Week 2 (September 5, 2015)

This past week was a productive one.  As students took their test over the Rules, Policies and Procedures of the school, students discovered they knew more than they realized.  Every student passed the test with high marks and without any issues. Our Social Contracts have been finalized with our list of social norms.  They have been printed out, signed and they are now ready for display.

A Pretest was administered as we started our new unit: Digital Citizenship and Online Safety. Students started with a 10 question Pretest.  Using our new Easytech curriculum, students completed two online lessons.  This coming week, students will be grouped into teams of 2 or 3 for a brief presentation to share what they learned from the lessons.  A mini poster will be created for display around the school and a Post-Test will be given to ensure knowledge and understanding.

Tune in next week for samples of the student's posters.
