In today’s world, students must prepare themselves for a wide range of college and work opportunities. All students want to lead a happy life and enjoy the good things the world has to offer. Our students will certainly be provided a quality education. This year I am working with our junior high students as they learn and master a wide range of 21st Century Skills.

In this year’s “Technology Applications” class, students will learn and master various topics associated with computers and technology.

Week 20 (January 25, 2016)

This week, my 8th graders completed another "Lytle Junior High Newscast".  In this project, each news team learns to type in a news script for our teleprompter.  They experience what it is like to be under the lights and in front of a camera.   Once the newscast is recorded, students use Pinnacle Studio to assemble the various parts, edit and complete the video for Internet broadcast.  This week's newscast was created by Ariatna Gonzalez, Isabella Syma and Emry Lira.

My 6th Grade, Computer Science students completed and turned in their Social Contracts using Google Classroom.  Students started our new unit on "Digital Citizenship and Online Safety".  We are using our Learning.com (EasyTech) curriculum.  We will spend 3 or 4 days in this unit before we get into computer programming.
